Time Drops Timing system hire requires prior training or authorised LVWASC personnel to be present during your meet. Extra costs might apply. Please read our full Time Drops timing Terms and Conditions before hire.

The Starter

LVW Aquatics Swimming Club requires that the person nominated to be the Starter must demonstrate full confidence in using our equipment. As a condition of hire, the designated individual may need to undergo equipment training.

Time Drops Timing System: Hire Rules

1. Who can use the system?

Because this equipment is highly specialised, it cannot be operated by just anyone. To hire the system, you must meet one of the following requirements:

A member of the Liz Van Welie Swimming Club (LVWASC) team must be there to run the system during your swim meet; OR
The person running the system must have already completed our official training.

2. Extra Costs

The hire price usually covers just the equipment. You may need to pay extra for:

Staffing: If an LVWASC staff member is required to attend.
Travel: Getting our team and the gear to your venue.

3. Looking after the equipment

Once the equipment is in your care, the club or person hiring it is responsible for it.

Accidental Damage: If the system is broken, dropped, or damaged during your hire, you will be required to pay the full cost of repairs or a total replacement.
Water Safety: While this is a swimming tool, certain parts must stay dry. Any damage caused by getting the electronics wet or leaving them in the rain is the hirer’s responsibility.
Security: Please make sure the gear is never left unattended or in an unlocked area.

4. Booking

Your booking isn’t confirmed until we have checked that an authorised person is available to run the system. Please contact us as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Conditions of Hire

The contact person agrees to pay the hire fee, as specified in the fee schedule, to Liz Van Welie Aquatics Swimming Club Tauranga, for the hire of the equipment listed above. The contact person will be responsible for the timely pick-up and drop-off of the equipment. Training will be provided where necessary. The contact person is responsible for all hired equipment while on hire and for returning it at the end of the hire period in the same condition as it was when it was rented.

The cost of loss or damage to equipment is to be borne by the borrower.

Payment

Your organisation will be invoiced for the use of the equipment at the end of the hire period.
