Liz van Welie Aquatics Swimming Club (LVWASC) and Mount Maunganui Swimming Club (MMSC) are thrilled to co-host the third annual Splash for Cash swim meet! This exciting event returns to the Baywave TECT Aquatic & Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th, 2026.

What makes Splash for Cash a favorite in the Bay of Plenty is the unique prize structure. Forget traditional medals—our competitors race for cold, hard cash! With nearly $3,000 in total prize money available across 38 racing events, every heat is a chance to win.

Cash for All Ages: Prizes are awarded for 1st ($10), 2nd ($7.50), and 3rd ($5) places in age groups ranging from U12 to 16 & Over.
High-Stakes Skins Events: These fan-favorite elimination races offer even bigger payouts, with winners in the Open category taking home $300!
Qualifying Opportunity: This is a designated meet using electronic timing, making it a perfect chance to secure times for the 2026 NZ Short Course championships.
