Wireless Swim Timing System

Time Drops Live Timing

What is it?

If you’ve come across our “LIVE TIMING QR code” or been directed to this page, our event is using the Time Drops ®️ timing system. This new wireless system provides instant access to swimmers’ results through a smartphone app or a live timing webpage.

Officials no longer need to manually upload results and you wait for delayed refreshes, or find that results are cut off before the meet is concluded.

The best part? It’s completely free, with no subscription required!

Why you'll love it!
  • No need to wait for ‘official’ results
  • See personal best times and unofficial records right away
  • Easy accessible meet program
  • Scoreboard mode lets you convert your phone into a miniature, real-time scoreboard
  • Get automatic notifications for your favourite swimmer’s results
  • Protect your swimmer’s privacy with PIN protection
  • Free. No ads, no in-app purchases.

What's The PIN?

Once you  download the app and open the Time Drops Live app, look for the Currently active or Near Me tabs at the bottom of the screen. When you find the event, you will be asked for a PIN. Your event organiser would have shared this four digit number by email, or displayed it at the venue.

The PIN is required to protect privacy of young swimmers.

Disclaimer

The Time Drops Live Timing app or any other result app / website, that we might use during a meet, is only displaying provisional results that are subject to change. Please note that results may be altered due to disqualifications, adjustments, or protests.

If you wish to lodge a protest, please follow the correct procedure.

  • Club Nights: Contact recorder@lvwasc.co.nz, preferably as soon as you spot an error.
  • Inter-club and regional meets: The Team manager / representative to contact the referee, unless specified otherwise.
  • Championship level meets: The Team manager/ representative to request a Protest form, pay the relevant protest fee and officially submit your protest. There is a limited time to lodge a protest, usually 30 mins post an event.

The results become official once they are submitted to the Swimming New Zealand (SNZ) database. For select meets, SNZ verification is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of the final standings.
